I'm just waiting for the day that someone does a weight loss program using the Wii Fit. I'm positive it will be a HUGE deal.

If you find anyone that ends up doing it or you are doing it yourself. Post it here!

I'm doing a wii fit program myself. I started Tues. July 22, 2008. I have lost 3 lbs.

I will say that weighing daily on the wii has kept me honest. I need to lose 30 lbs.

I have changed my eating around only a little. I have cut down on the soda and on carbs. Not completely giving up everything, just cutting back.

Yea I agree. I think its all about keeping people honest and keeping cool stats. I know that combined with a good diet that all of us will see some good results.

Would be cool to see you share your progress with all of us here.

I'm still trying to get a Wii Fit... they all damn sell out!

I started using it 2 weeks ago and i wonder the following

I spend about 30 minutes a night on the wii fit and i want to lose 20 lbs

after a long workout including the long distance island run i did another body test and it says i gained two pounds??

what is up with this? it happens every time i work out and gain weight but when i try the next day before i work out i have lost weight?

odd question, my scales at home say i weight 200 lbs and the wii fit says i weight 190 and i put the correct weight of my clothes which is less than two pounds each time, since i only wear a shirt and shorts

Different scales measure differently, and are calibrated differently. If you are using the Wii Board on a carpet, it will definately change your weight by about 5-10 lbs (that's my experience, anyway.)

Hm... don't know if site is too popular although I haven't found any big forum about Wii Fit discussions, but anyway.

I lost about 3-4 Kg(and now weigh around 116Kg) in a month since I started, doing ~20min of exercise daily, and also kept a low-fat diet. I've also been taking around 3 types of naturist medicine (Reduccino, Himalaya's AyurSlim, Balestra's Slim-Kombu, if you ever heard of them), one of them (AyurSlim) helps decrease the crave for food and made me eat around 1/4 of what I was previously eating without feeling bad about it.

The actual weighing troubles me, because I've seen a lot of weird stuff, like doing weighs before and after exercise and seeing a 1Kg loss, (that was at the beggining, now I see like 0.2Kg), or miraculously dropping 1Kg in the morning after I weighed myself right before sleep. Another weird thing is the clothes. Initially I had no idea how much my clothes weigh (and I didn't wanted to lie to myself saying they're 1Kg), so I undressed, weighed myself, put the clothes, weighed again and got the weight of the clothes. Then I added that and everything was fine (they wore 0.5Kg). When I first changed my clothing to something else (much heavier), I did the same thing, first without, then with clothes on, and with clothes I had -0.5Kg than without them ? That's... impossible, and I'm thinking Wii Fit has a bug in the system when you're using "other" for scales and you're switch the values back and forth a couple of times. I was almost demoralized after the first 2 weeks, to find out that I was having 0.5Kg less which settles things down a bit :). I changed my clothing twice so far and everytime I saw the drop. Last time I did this I weighed myself 4 times (withx2,withoutx2) to see if it's a scale error.

The wii fit is great. I don't know why some people saying is it worth, unless they don't like to be active.
I have had one for about 2 months from http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=122588
and now the whole family is using it. You can either play the games just for fun and still be active or you can use it for a full work out and keep track of your weight and set goals.
I have lost 7 lbs on it and that was from using it 30- 40 minutes a day for about a month. I do aerobics exercises, muscle conditioning and yoga poses. if you set it up like a regular work out you will sweat and lose weight.kids do fun activities, such as ski jumping and heading footballs, that challenge the player's overall body balance.
If you use it correctly there is no way that you wouldn't feel it working. Especially the boxing and hula hoop. You can also do running, push ups, etc.
I think it is a great motivational game and good for if you can't get to a gym or go outside, and the kids' do all the exercises as well as the games.

Those are some interesting findings indyagent. We have the wii fit in our office and haven't had any issues with weight. I haven't checked myself on a normal scale for a while though so I could be wrong :)
